Oregon Women in Graduate Sciences Award

The University of Oregon Women in Graduate Sciences is devoted to helping our members achieve career success. To that end, we are awarding $1,200 to one parent per year (any given student may receive the award up to three times) in order to ease their financial burden and assist them in succeeding in his or her graduate career.

In order to be eligible for this award you should be a University of Oregon graduate student in the sciences, have childcare responsibilities for a child between infancy and 15 years of age, and be a member of UOWGS. Preference will be given to single parents, and parents of children under 5 years of age. Special consideration will be given to those who do not earn over the standard departmental stipend.
