The UO School of Music and Dance is hosting a fantastic FREE musical Halloween event–perfect for families! The event will feature music, storytelling, costumes, and candy in a laid-back atmosphere. Kids are encouraged to attend in costume. This year we’re also starting a bit earlier in the evening, to accommodate bedtimes for the wee ones. The SpookTastic! concert will take place in Aasen-Hull Hall (room 190) of the Frohnmayer Music Building on the UO campus.
Wednesday, October 30 from 6:00-8:00 pm
On this festive Halloween Eve night, come trick-or-treat around University of Oregon research labs in Willamette Hall and learn why research is such a scream! Costumes are encouraged, and best mad-scientists costume wins a prize!

Each of the four nights will include dancing, poetry, and live music by the Guanaxtecos from Sierra de Guanajuato, two special exhibitions commemorating the 100th anniversary of José Guadalupe Posada’s death, and workshops with Mexican artist Martín Guevara Luna in the art studio. An ofrenda, constructed by local students to celebrate the holiday, will be on view October 29-November 2.
